Comparison of Methods of Assessment and Results of Traditional Osce with Electronic-Osce

Introduction: The onset and rise of COVID-19 its sudden progression to a worldwide pandemic lead medical dental institutes change their way teaching conducting assessments distance learning as compared the previously applied conventional approaches. Teaching assessment during this era have changed vastly, earlier it was solely traditional/live Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) but due current circumstances electronic/online OSCE (E-OSCE) method introduced. In Pakistan also, Medical Council (PMC) College Physicians Surgeons (CPSP) conducted online exams so that scheduled do not get delayed. Aim: main objective paper is measure reliability an E-OSCE compare with traditional OSCE. Methodology: This cross-sectional study which got at Rawal Institute Health Sciences, Islamabad. Traditional OSCEs E-OSCEs were 71 participants including final year students house officers. Each had 10 stations, one interactive station in Students’ scores both collected paired t-test used mean p<0.05. Results: Total number officers 27 44. collected. difference between officers’ statistically significant (p=0.000). also (p=0.020). Finally, overall (p=0.000) Practical implication: assess whether electronic more reliable than Conclusion: Despite limitations biases, results proved be better Further research needs on control factors causing biases limitations.
